- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital. First-time travelers not accepted unless they have 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center. 2. Cases: Drips required on all floors. Required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA). May encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, and Lasix. Call out if no drip experience. 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred. Must be on file at submission. 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic experience required. 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour options. Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently, including potentially to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away). Float required every shift. Weekends: 4 shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period; Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday night and Saturday night. 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted. Must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion. Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving 11/24-11/26, Christmas 12/24-12/26, New Year's 12/31-1/2); holiday request must be submitted with application. 9. Returning Staff: Not specified. 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility. 11. Background: Not specified. 12. Modules: Not specified. 13. Travel Experience: Required per VMS system notes. 14. Scrubs: Mandatory — RNs must wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Instructions for obtaining branded scrubs provided upon confirmation. Gray T-shirts also available in the facility's company store. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not Required. 16. Special Equipment: Drip management required (see Cases section above). Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Transportation. Critical: COVID-19 Vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only). Facility is 100% nicotine-free. Traveler unit assignment is determined by the facility based on experience; preferred unit should be called out at submission. Parking available via permit (approx. $55/month) or daily rate ($3 for 20 hours).
