- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required; must have 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital. First-time travelers not accepted unless they have 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center. 2. Cases: Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, psychiatric illnesses, and oncology (no chemo cert required). Drips required on all floors. 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI, NIHSS preferred; all copies required at submission. 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required. 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour weekly options; 13 or 26-week contract options. Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently within scope, including potentially to Bellevue campus. Float notification given 1 hour prior to shift start. Ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights (1:7 nights rare). 5th floor night ratios may reach 1:10 for complex discharges. 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. 8. RTO: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted; must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving: W/Th/F; Christmas: 24/25/26; New Years: 31/1/2). 9. Returning Staff: Not specified. 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility. 11. Background: Not specified. 12. Modules: Orientation is 24 hours. 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required. 14. Scrubs: Mandatory — RNs must wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on obtaining branded scrubs provided upon confirmation. Gray T-shirts also available in the facility's company store. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required. 16. Special Equipment: Required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA). May encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, and Lasix. Screen and call out if no drip experience. Critical: 100% nicotine-free facility. COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only). Parking available via permit (approx. $55/month) or daily rate ($3 for 20 hours).
