- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital; first-time travelers not accepted unless they have 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center 2. Cases: Drips required on all floors; required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, and Lasix; screen and call out if no drip experience; MS/Tele experience required; skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, cardiac telemetry, and management of cardiac drips (no titration) 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (per standard); copies required at submission 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour weekly option; 13 or 26-week contract option; travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently; may be assigned to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away); weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday night and Saturday night); holiday requirement: travelers must work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving: W/Th/F; Christmas: 24/25/26; New Years: 31/1/2); patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights; orientation hours: 24; float required every shift 8. RTO: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted; RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10.
