- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital; first-time travelers not accepted (exception considered with 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center) 2. Cases: MS/Tele; experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac telemetry, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions; drip experience required on all floors 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard) 4. License: Nebraska RN State License required; pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out; Trauma Level I experience required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour options; float required every shift within scope, including potential float to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away); 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday night and Saturday night); orientation is 24 hours; work week Monday-Sunday, all contracts end on Sunday 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; additional requests after confirmation at manager's discretion 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: Must go into labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer; document due date is Tier 2 - Tuesday prior to start by 4 PM CST 13. Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Mandatory - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back; information on obtaining branded scrubs provided upon confirmation; facility also sells gray T-shirts in their company store 15. Special Equipment: Required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, and Lasix; screen and call out if no drip experience Critical: Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving 11/24-11/26, Christmas 12/24-12/26, New Year's 12/31-1/2); holiday requirement must be submitted with application. Facility is 100% nicotine-free. COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only). Patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights.
