- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; specialty experience within the last year required 2. Cases: CHF, A-Fib with RVR, Chest Pain, NSTEMI, Arrhythmias, Electrolyte abnormalities, COVID, Sepsis; Cardiac Catheterization, Post CABG, Pacemaker; must be fluent in cardiac rhythms, STEMI, post-cardiac surgery, drips, Heparin drips, and stents 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; ACLS, BLS, and PALS must be through AHA 4. License: VA license required in hand at submittal or proof of compact license; SSN required at time of submittal 5. Education: NIH and stroke education required for RNs at all acute care hospitals under Riverside Health 6. EMR: Epic experience required for all acute care hospitals under Riverside Health 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights; flexible scheduling preferred; patient ratios 4:1 days and 5:1 nights; weekend coverage required; may be floated based on facility needs; if a holiday falls during assignment, applicant may be scheduled to work 8. RTO: Keep RTO to a minimum; no full calendar week off preferred; no more than 7 days total; all RTO must be submitted at initial submission; no additional RTO approved after offer is given 9. Returning Staff: Prior permanent employees must be gone at least 6 months before being hired on to travel; candidates cannot work both Riverside Travel assignments and Riverside Per Diem contracts simultaneously 10.
