- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years required; SD/PCU experience specifically required (ICU experience does not count toward SD/PCU experience at this facility); application must show 1:5 ratio experience in Work History for SD or PCU; CABG and valve post-op experience required; cardiac experience required 2. Cases: Pre and post-op open heart management including CABG, valve replacement or repair, mitral clip and TAVR, thoracotomy, VATS; lung cases including pneumothorax, hemothorax, chest tube; vascular surgeries; advanced care cardiac patients with continuous telemetry 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be able to read and interpret strips; IV start and cardiac drip titration required; EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract; N95 fit or PAPR required for HRRU unit 4. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted; candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted; current Nursys report required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required for all inpatient nursing roles 7. Shifts/Call: Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday; traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion within specialty clusters and potentially to other Premier campuses; all 48-hour contracts OT billed at 48 hours; Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 3 shifts per 13-week contract or 2 shifts for an 8-week contract; Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine; targeted patient ratios are 1:4-6 8.
