- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of experience required; unit will review 1st time travelers based on experience 2. Cases: Higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, afib, post heart cath; step down from ICU — no vents or pressor support; drips accepted: heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, sotalol initiation, telemetry 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required 4. License: TN RN License required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required 7. Shifts/Call: 1900-0730, 3x12 Nights; block scheduling; floating to med surg units and other Prisma Health units/campuses may be required; weekend coverage every other (may change based on need) 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract; after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks), must begin converting to employee status or take a minimum 6-month separation before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must be 100+ miles from every Prisma facility for full bill rate; 90-99.9 miles accepted at 10% bill rate reduction; 60-mile local radius for CRNAs only; SSN must be sent with submittal 11. Background Policy: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-assignment testing and modules required for all travelers; must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login (login typically arrives within 24 hours of contract signing); billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start, not included in NBO; completed annually; recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health — time not entered into timecards 13.
