- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; experience with pediatric patients required; must have experience from a large pediatric hospital; Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred 2. Cases: Typical medical/surgical ICU patients that are non-cardiac — Respiratory, Trauma, Neuro, and etc. 3. Certifications: BLS through American Heart Association required; PALS required; Certified Pediatric Nurse or Certified Critical Care Nurse preferred; all must be current and valid 4. License: Current valid Nebraska RN license or RN Compact license required 5. Education: Diploma, Associates, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing required 6. EMR: Epic experience required; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Ratios 1:2 days/nights/weekends; every other weekend required; float required (travelers float first, typically to NICU or CCU but can float to MS); scheduling type listed as other; orientation is 24 hours 8. RTO: Two pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees are not accepted as travelers 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius from facility; locals not accepted 11.
