- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years, in the specialty being submitted to 2. Cases: Medical/surgical unit; diagnoses include COPD, heart failure, HTN, DM, ETOH, infection, mental status changes, falls, orthopedic surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder joints), neuro spine, bariatric, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia, endocrine 3. Certifications: BLS required - AHA ONLY; WI RN or compact RN license required 4. License: WI RN or compact RN license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930; weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need; float required to other units or downtown 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: 20 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: CPM, wound VAC, lifts, polar cares Critical: Traveler must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start. Adult Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms (V-fib, V-tach, asystole), no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, and a passing score of 80% or higher. Pediatric Exam requires identification of V-fib, V-tach, asystole, and sinus bradycardia with a passing score of 80% or higher. Traveler has two attempts; if the second attempt is failed, a cardiac interpretation review course certificate must be submitted before a third attempt is granted. Failure after three attempts will result in assignment cancellation. References must be removed from submission. Patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights, 6 weekends.
