- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years minimum; 2 years preferred in large hospital; Level 1 preferred, Level 2 accepted; some advanced care/step down experience required 2. Cases: Advanced care level patients; experience with advanced care level drips required; patient populations include chest pain rule outs, syncope, vertigo, abdominal pain, CHF, COPD, cellulitis/IV antibiotics, stroke rule outs/TIAs; heavy cardiac population 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be able to read and interpret strips; must pass online EKG/Tele competency assessment within 72 hours of signing; EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing 4. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted; candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required for all inpatient nursing roles 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours accepted; OT paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contract; no block schedule; must work every other weekend/holiday; travelers are first to float; may float within hospital or to other Premier hospitals nearby (up to 15 miles); must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units; unit may participate in team nursing model 8. RTO: Maximum 14 days per contract; no holiday RTO accepted; no schedule requests or RTO negotiated after offer is made; available start date, RTO, and schedule requests must be listed on front page of application at time of submission 9. Returning Staff: Any previous permanent/PRN staff employee of Premier Health Partners or prior agency not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before applying as a traveler; must disclose previous employment including facility, unit name, and dates; facility rehire approval required before proceeding with offer; failure to disclose will negatively impact candidate and may result in cancellation 10.
