Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required 2. Cases: Telemetry required; fast pace unit with high patient turnover 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIH preferred 4. License: DC license in hand required for DC locations; compact license or MD license for MD locations 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: 1:5 patient ratio; every 3rd weekend coverage 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks; maximum 7 days per 13-week contract; must be included at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Must have been separated from MedStar for minimum one year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate; must complete minimum 1 travel assignment 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing contract; billable up to 4 hours, average 12 hours; completed pre-start and during orientation 13. Travel Experience: Must complete minimum 1 travel assignment to be considered 14. Scrubs: Not provided; color required is Navy Blue/White 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Capnography, Zoll cardiac monitors, Telemetry boxes Critical: Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Two supervisory references required supporting 2 years experience in previous 3 years. Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms for Telemetry specialty.
