- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; general experience is 18 months if not listed otherwise in job description. First-timers not accepted. 2. Cases: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band, Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post Neurosurgery, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Ortho Trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Skin Grafts, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal Failure, Care of Ventilated Patient, Tracheostomy Management, and more as listed in job description. 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred. AHA or American Red Cross only — RQI cards not accepted. Copies required at submission. 4. License: Active IL license required at time of submission; pending license not accepted. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred; position specific per job post details. 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Days (0645-1915); no on-call required; will float within hospital or to affiliate hospital as needed; every other weekend required; patient ratio is 1:4. 8. RTO: Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO auto-approved; anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius requirement for this unit (50-mile radius applies to OR RN only). 11. Background: Any background check hits must be noted upon submission so approval can be sought prior to offer. 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start and renewed annually; non-clinical hours are fixed, clinical module hours may vary. First day is a virtual at-home day — candidates must check for additional modules by 4PM CST. Module logins assigned and sent prior to start. 13. Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience is required. 14. Scrubs: Any solid color. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions only. 16. Special Equipment: Must be able to manage tracheostomies with ventilators. Critical: Traveler must be PRE-CLOSED at time of submission. SSN and DOB required at submission. Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. References may be submitted as pending. Compliance (lab appointment, DocuSign, badge photo) must be completed within 1 week of signing the contract.
