- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; general experience is 18 months if not otherwise listed in job description. First-timers not accepted. 2. Cases: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown required. Cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and plastic surgery case experience required as detailed in job description. 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred. AHA or American Red Cross only — RQI cards not accepted. Copies required at submission. 4. License: Active IL license required; must be in hand at time of submission. Pending license not accepted. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred; position specific. 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 Days (0645-1915); no on-call required. Will float within hospital or to affiliate hospital as needed. Works every other weekend. 8. RTO: Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO auto-approved; anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler. Former manager name should be confirmed at submission. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted for this unit with no radius restriction. OR RN specialty requires 50 miles or more. 11. Background: Any background check hits must be noted upon submission so approval can be sought prior to offer. 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start and renewed annually; non-clinical hours are fixed, clinical module hours may vary. First day is a virtual at-home day — candidates must check for additional modules. Strict deadline of 4PM CST on Day 1. Module logins assigned and sent prior to start. 13. Travel Experience: Required. 14. Scrubs: Any solid color. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. 16. Special Equipment: Must be able to manage tracheostomies with ventilators. Critical: Traveler must be PRE-CLOSED at time of submission. SSN and DOB required at submission. Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. Lab appointment, DocuSigns, and badge photo must be completed within a minimum of 1 week of signing the contract. References can be submitted as pending.
