- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-timers not accepted; previous travel experience required 2. Cases: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; Cardiac (Post Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band); Neurological (Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post Neurosurgery, Spinal Cord Injury, TBI); Orthopedic (Ortho Trauma, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Total Joint Replacements); Respiratory (Ventilated Patients, Chest Tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, Tracheostomy); GI (Feeding Tube Care); GU/Renal (Pre/Post Hemodialysis, Renal Failure); IV/Phlebotomy (Ports, Arterial Lines, Blood Products, Central Lines, PICC, Starting IVs); Medications (Heparin Protocols, Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips with and without titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation); Wound Care/Wound Vac; Isolation Precautions 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred; certifications must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Active IL RN license required; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Teaching hospital experience preferred 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; Cerner listed as charting system 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 Days (0645-1915); no on-call required; will float as needed; works every other weekend; block schedule open to discussion with manager; guaranteed hours clause — client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; beyond that, client is billed 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; no radius requirement 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Orientation is 24 hours 13.
