Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Medical diagnosis with focus on pulmonary patients; step-down unit patients requiring specialized care 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must include valid NIHSS in submittal 4. License: NY license required in hand - no exceptions 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified - alert account manager at submittal 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, every other weekend; floating to ICU or MS required 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; pre-approved time off limited to one 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be 75 mile radius - candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combination of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown; COVID-19 vaccine not required 16. Special Equipment: Cardiac monitoring, telemetry, central lines, arterial lines, BIPAP support, vasoactive drips Critical: Patient ratios 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg capability required. Unit has continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. 24-hour orientation required.
