Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years is required 2. Cases: PCU, MS Tele, Surgical pre and post; ENT, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Ortho Surgery; overflow medical diagnosis patients; rare pediatric patients (travelers not assigned unless experienced) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by standard policy) 4. License: NY RN License required and must be in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement; Pyxis also used 7. Shifts/Call: Days 1:3-5, Nights 1:3-6, Weekends 1:3-5; scheduling type is block; every other weekend required; float to sister units West 2, West 3, and Observation unit 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1-year return staff policy applies 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; any time beyond 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Mixed acuity unit; ratios adjusted by acuity; TCAR preferred Critical: Orientation is 12 hours. EPIC is a hard requirement. NY license must be in hand at submission. PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years is required. Foreign education must be flagged at time of submittal.
