- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; PCU/IMC experience within last 3 years required 2. Cases: Mixed acuity unit PCU, MS Tele and MS patients; surgical pre and post (ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, ortho surgery); overflow medical diagnosis patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified - alert account manager at submittal 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Ratios 1:3-5 days/weekends, 1:3-6 nights; every other weekend required; float to sister units required 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be >50 miles from facility; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Up to 5 hours billable, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Mixed acuity unit equipment for PCU, MS Tele and MS patients Critical: 12-hour orientation; charge experience preferred; trauma level I and II experience preferred.
