- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required; 1 year MS/Tele and 2 years Stepdown experience; 1.5-2+ years required 2. Cases: Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit; most patients are cardiac, cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology procedures, also med/surg and medical patients 3. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if required) must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, some weekends; typically 1:4 ratio, flex to 1:5 in emergencies; weekend coverage required; blocked schedules considered for weekends only 8. RTO: Limit holiday requests to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays; RTO must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have permanent address 100 miles from facility; candidates between 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 8 hours completion time; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Not provided; burgundy and/or white required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical exemptions only 16.
