- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; first-time travelers accepted if greater than 3 years of experience; minimum 1 year acute experience at system level 2. Cases: Covid, Stroke, NSTEMI, Chest Pain, AKI, Pneumonia, COPD Exacerbation, CHF Exacerbation, Cellulitis, AMS; Intermediate Care Unit experience; PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Telemetry required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be AHA; copies required at submission 4. License: MI RN License required and must be IN HAND at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required; 12 weekend shifts per contract (Saturday and Sunday, both day and night shifts); float to Hickman, 2 South, 4 North, ICU, ER, and Behavioral Health as needed; staffing ratio 1:6 all shifts; no block scheduling; schedules can be changed with two-weeks notice 8. RTO: No holidays or holiday eves/days after holidays approved; requests exceeding 7 days require manager approval; pre-approved time off limited to two occurrences 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year (permanent staff); travel pairs acceptable; if related, same facility but not same unit 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Not specifically detailed; Ohio facilities only require fingerprinting for specific units (Pediatric, Psych/Behavioral Health, Patient Transport, Children's specialties); Ohio FBI/BCI results take 4-6 weeks; travelers cannot start with results pending 12. Modules: First 4 hours non-billable; any time exceeding 4 hours billable up to 8 additional hours (12 hours total); completed during orientation and annually; vary by specialty; facility reported 13.
