- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Cardiac PCU, post-cath lab procedures, congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, COPD, congenital heart defects, infective endocarditis 3. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS preferred; NIHSS required 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Must work 50% of weekends in contract; patient ratio 1:4 days/nights/weekends; call-ins added to end of contract 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires breaks after 12 months 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local and NOT accepted for this PCU position; locals offered lower rate for accepted positions 11. Background: Must note background policy prior to submission for approval 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
