- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years Operating Room experience required; must not have been out of acute OR setting for more than 6 months; management role experience not considered 2. Cases: Must have strong experience in at least 2 of these 4 specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics 3. Certifications: BCLS required 4. License: NC or Compact license (pending OK for submittal) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights; no call required 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate; travel experience required 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules non-billable; Acute Care approximately 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13. Travel Experience: Required (okay to screen if no prior travel experience) 14. Scrubs: Provided, Ceil Blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) 16.
