Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of oncology experience preferred but NOT required; high acuity PCU patient experience required; must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years; must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass 2. Cases: Solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, thoracic oncology; PCU/telemetry level care 3. Certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: Valid compact or state RN license required in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Self-schedule; Day/Night rotating or nights; first week Mon-Fri dayshift orientation; second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor; float required to other PCU or Med Surg Oncology units; no call required 8. RTO: RTO required with submission and must be built into contract; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after being away from the facility for 6 months or more; current Ohio State University hospital employees are ineligible as travelers 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon contract signing; candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those at extreme distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently; strict compliance deadline is Tuesday prior to start with no exceptions 12. Modules: Orientation is 72 hours total 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: GE telemetry monitor system (B450), Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, PCA pumps Critical: Ohio fingerprinting must be completed as soon as the contract is signed — urgency is emphasized. Screen candidates for any vacation time immediately after booking, as this may cause delays. Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted.
