- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years required 2. Cases: Mixed acuity stepdown and med/surg patients; medicine services; patient diagnoses include Bacteremia, CKD, COPD, AMS, Anemia/GIB, FTT, Falls, ABD pain, SI/Med hold 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required 4. License: Ohio RN license required; must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: EPIC documentation 7. Shifts/Call: Must be charge-capable on nights; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Required with submission, must be built into contract; two pre-approved time off requests 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible once away from facility for 6+ months; current employees ineligible as travelers 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; float required within OSU organization as needed 11. Background: Must complete fingerprints as soon as contract is signed; strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start 12. Modules: 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Must be comfortable with CPAP/BiPAP, med titrations; NG/Dobhoff, Kangaroo pump, wound vac, chest tube Critical: Hard stop requirements include CPAP/BiPAP, titrate cardiac drips, and charge-capable night capability. Two professional references required with at least one from management. Urgent Ohio fingerprinting process required.
