- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; first-time travelers not accepted 2. Cases: Pediatric stepdown/PICU experience preferred; chronic illness patients with tracheostomies and chronic ventilators; no drips, surgical, or transitional patients; 50-60% of patients are technology-dependent; ages 2 weeks to 18 years 3. Certifications: BCLS and PALS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: IL RN License required and must be active in hand at time of submission; compact RN licenses not accepted in IL; pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 both accepted; weekends required every other weekend; no on-call required; clinician may float within scope; block schedule considered; guaranteed hours: 36 hrs (3x12), 48 hrs (4x12), 40 hrs (8- or 10-hour shifts) 8. RTO: Must be approved and included in contract prior to start date; no RTO may be added after contract has started; one pre-approved RTO noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10.
