- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; Neuro experience requested (screen and call out if limited) 2. Cases: Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry; neurological and medical intermediate patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CCRN, TNCC, CPI preferred 4. License: NC or Compact license; pending acceptable for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights (18:45-07:15); no call requirement; minimum 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks; 36 and 48-week assignments available 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO first week; all RTO pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months; disclosure required with hospital name/dates 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates (50 miles) accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hours NBO; Acute Care 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13. Travel Experience: Will NOT accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not provided; any combination of navy blue and white required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: Must be able to titrate LEVO; various equipment including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, central lines, PICC lines Critical: Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Patient ratio 1:4. Float requirement to other intermediate areas and critical care. Must adhere to call-off policy (strongly enforced). Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Orientation is 32 hours.
