Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Inpatient, locked unit, substance use/chemical dependency, anxiety disorders, assault/violence, bipolar disorder, degenerative disorders (Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's), depressive disorder, personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, self-injurious behavior, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma and stressor related disorders 3. Certifications: BLS, MOAB or CPI required 4. License: NC or Compact license; pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required 7. Shifts/Call: Night shift 18:45-07:15; weekends only (Friday, Saturday & Sunday); no call requirement 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hours of NBO; Acute Care 8-10 hours, Non-Acute 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
