Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Medical Surgical and Senior Transitions Unit (geriatric psychiatric); patient diagnoses include Major Neurocognitive D/O, Depression, Anxiety, Schizoaffective D/O, Schizophrenia, Bipolar D/O, and other behavioral health diagnoses 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: PA license or Compact license required; must be in hand at time of submission; PA Fingerprinting and Childline must be completed as soon as contract is signed and must be completed in PA 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Rotating shifts; every other weekend required; patient ratio is 10:1 days, nights, and weekends; orientation is 36 hours 8. RTO: Every other holiday only 9. Returning Staff: Any previous permanent employment at Penn Highlands Healthcare must be included in employment history at submission; permanent or per diem employees must be away for 18 months before returning as travelers (applies to all facilities) 10. Travel/Local: No locals accepted; 50-mile radius restriction 11. Background: Not specified 12.
