- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum PICU experience working independently (not including orientation time); experience in a 20-bed PICU or larger required; teaching facility experience preferred 2. Cases: Neurosurgery (tumor resection, craniotomy), Hem/Onc and BMT, Respiratory (intubated, BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula), ingestion/suicide attempt, kidney and liver transplants, ECMO/CRRT, near drowning/post-arrest, NICU transfers (medically complex infants with tracheostomy) 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; CCRN preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (confirm per standard policy) 4. License: WA RN License required; Compact license accepted; Pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 D/N Rotating or Straight Nights; on-call not required but must be available for pickup; 6 weekends required per 13-week assignment (increases with longer assignments); float required to NICU, CICU, and acute care floors; one orientation shift in CICU required 8. RTO: No RTO within first 2 weeks of start; only one week of RTO total can be approved; RTO must be included on initial submission or it will not be approved; traveler must work 2 of 3 holiday groupings (4 of 6 holiday days); submit preferred holiday grouping (one week off) at time of submission 9.
