Requirements

- Active California RN license required before start
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of strong Pediatric Medical experience required 2. Cases: Respiratory diseases (severe asthma, viral bronchiolitis, pneumonia), diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic disorders, neurological conditions, post-operative surgical care, hematology/oncology (cancer, blood disorders, neutropenia, BMT, solid organ transplants), medical behavioral (severe malnutrition, pediatric eating disorders) 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard); copies required at submission 4. License: CA RN License required; Pending State License accepted if ETA from licensing is provided 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Variable Day/Night; on-call required (in lieu of cancellation); must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, including Eves); 4-5 weekend day shifts (Sat/Sun) and 6-7 weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) per contract; one full weekend off guaranteed per 4-week period; 4 shifts of orientation across 4 different units 8. RTO: 6 days max; must still get 3 shifts in the week; only one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; this is a float pool position; will float to all inpatient care areas except critical care float, including NICU stepdown, cardiac stepdown, and subacute; no floating to sister facilities 11.
