- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of Peds Med/Surg experience at a Level I Trauma Center 2. Cases: 50% Pre/Post Transplant, 10% Heme/Onc, heavily post-surgical remainder; mixed acuity unit (16 med-surg, 8 progressive/critical); patient population includes adolescents, infants, and pediatrics 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: May be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts; notified 3 hours prior to shift start or by text; travelers do not self-schedule; minimum 3 weekend shifts plus a Friday day (days) or Sunday night (nights); all staff may be required to serve as Rover/task nurse on any inpatient unit including NICU, L&D, and adult acute care 8. RTO: All RDOs must be stipulated in contract; if not in contract, traveler is responsible for trading with core staff; scheduling requests such as "no 3 in a row" or consecutive shifts considered but not guaranteed; travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays — must be submitted with application 9.
