- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum Peds Cardiac Surgery experience required; will review candidates with 1-2 years. Ideal candidate has 2-5 years in cardiac ICU. Manager prefers CVPICU experience but open to PICU, PACU, and CVICU candidates with appropriate cardiac/critical care background. 2. Cases: Congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplant, higher acuity CICU, Single Ventricle Palliation; patients birth to 21 years. Must have 3s and 4s in skills checklist in Cardiovascular settings to be designated a SCREEN. 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; Children's hospital experience noted.
