- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of CVPICU experience required (recent, leading up to assignment); previous children's hospital cardiac intensive care experience required 2. Cases: Post-op cardiac surgical care, cardiology, congenital heart issues, and heart transplants; high acuity unit; 60% infants, 40% toddler through young adult; patients transition from intensive to intermediate care in unit 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; must be AHA or American Heart Association compliant (not explicitly stated re: AHA); cardiac training required 4. License: CA RN License required; pending license accepted if ETA from licensing is available 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Variable 12-hour day/night shifts; no on-call required; must work 2 of the 3 holidays; 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (nights: Fri/Sat combination; days: Sat/Sun) 8.
