- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; must have ICU experience (ratings 1-2 on checklist for screen through) 2. Cases: Phase 1-2 PACU; Vascular and Endovascular, Neurosurgery and Orthopedics, Gynecology and Urology, General and Bariatric, Plastics and ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatric (T&A, Ears, Hernias, Cleft Lip/Palate), Phase II when unit is full; may recover Surgical patients in ICU setting 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; Pyxis and Perfect Serve also in use 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12, 7p-7a; call required once every four weeks; float to surgical short stay for overflow patients; contract staff required to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events 8. RTO: 7 days max; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO may result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Preferred skills include Charge Nurse experience, Conscious Sedation, FHM, ICP, Telemetry, Vents, ICU background prior to PACU, and Pediatric experience. Ratios are 1:2. Weekend requirement varies. Scheduling determined by Schedule Committee.
