- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; must have ICU experience (ratings 1-2 on checklist for screen through) 2. Cases: Phase 1-2 PACU; Vascular and Endovascular, Neurosurgery and Orthopedics, Gynecology and Urology, General and Bariatric, Plastics and ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatric (T&A, Ears, Hernias, Cleft Lip/Palate), Phase II when unit is full; may recover Surgical patients in ICU setting 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; Pyxis and Perfect Serve also in use 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12, 7p-7a; call required once every four weeks; float to surgical short stay for overflow patients; contract staff required to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events 8. RTO: 7 days max; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO may result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Special Equipment: Cardiac monitor, blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, O2 saturation, arterial lines, ICP monitoring, dopplers for vascular checks, fetal heart monitor, EKOS, SCD pumps, wound vacs Critical: Must have ICU experience; PACU RN may be sent to STICU to recover patients. Preferred skills include Charge Nurse experience, Conscious Sedation, FHM, ICP, Telemetry, Vents, ICU background prior to PACU, and Pediatric experience. Ratios are 1:2. Weekend requirement varies. Scheduling determined by Schedule Committee.
