- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 2 years PACU in Level I Trauma required (hard stop); ICU/critical care required 2. Cases: Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant recovery; post cardiac surgery, lobectomy, chest trauma, ex-lap, splenectomy required; does NOT recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN and TNCC preferred; must have experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 16 weeks, 0700-1930, WEO day shift; works one weekday (candidate's choice) plus every Saturday and Sunday; no call; no weekends, no holidays per contract details; floats only to PACU or PreOp units; no block scheduling 8. RTO: No more than 7 days; no holidays approved per contract 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: Must pass Relias EKG exam 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy Blue 15. Flu Vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Experience with artificial airways, invasive monitoring including ICP, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs required; experience with drains and mechanical ventilation required; hard stop if missing 2 years Level I Trauma and ICU experience; screen candidates with Level II Trauma for manager review; screen if missing any required skills Critical: Guaranteed hours are 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Night shift nurses are expected to pre-op patients for first cases from 0530-0730 when no PACU patients are present. 80% of patients are admitted to the hospital post-procedure. Charge experience preferred.
