- Unit Notes:Department: PACU RN *Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** - # Beds: 34. - Phase 1 and Phase 2?: Primarily Phase 1, will train if needed to phase 2. - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 2:1 in Phase 1. - Common Cases: Robotic prostatectomy, total knee/Hip, robotic hyst. Bariatric. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years of PACU. - EMR: Cerner. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 2-3 CNA in the department. - RT Equipment: RT brings to department if needed. - ICU patients - do they recover in PACU?: No - ICU patients go directly to the unit. - RNs read strips?: Should be able to understand irregular rhythms. - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Have ability to work 8 or 9 hour shifts. 72 hour/pay period. - Weeknight/Call Requirements: Some call during the week (approx once every 2 weeks). - Weekend/Call Requirements: Weekend call (approx once every 6 weeks). - Holiday/Call Requirements: Not required. - What is call response time?: 1 hour. - Floating Requirements: If trained, may go to Post-op or Pre-op. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided. Respectable casual dress to and from work. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 2-3 shifts. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.
