Cases: PACU Phase II required; Peds PACU experience preferred; skills include Phase I PACU, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, reversal agents, EVD, ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patient, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, PCA pump management, RASS, and surgical specialties including bariatrics, ENT, general, gyn, neuro, ophthalmology, ortho, vascular, and pedi PACU 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; copies of certifications required at submission; must be in hand 4. License: AK RN License required and must be in hand for offer; pending license acceptable to submit as screen (takes 10-12 weeks); SSN and DOB required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; specific charting experience noted 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 evenings with variable start/stop times (0700-1900, 0800-2000, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, 1100-2300); 1 on-call shift per week, primarily overnight (2230-0700); all nurses must choose either one Saturday night or one Sunday night call shift; some dayshift call available (Sunday 0630-1900 or 1000-1900, one each maximum); must be at hospital within 30 minutes of being called; call sleep rooms available; 1 weekend shift per month (weekends are on-call only); guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks with possibility of 1, 12-hour shift call-off per 2-week period; traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler; travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year, then must take a minimum 6-month break before returning to the same facility 10. Travel/Local: No locals accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility; can only submit to 1 location within the region (PAMC, Seward, Valdez, Saint Elias Specialty Hospital, and Kodiak); candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals 11.
