Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of outpatient oncology experience required; ambulatory care preferred 2. Cases: Oncology experience required; ambulatory care preferred; skills include accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration, BMT, central line care, leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, stem cell therapies, and more 3. Certifications: BLS required; OCN preferred; all certifications required at time of submission unless otherwise specified; active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission 4. License: Active NJ State License or Compact License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience preferred; 4 hours of non-billable EPIC training required pre-start 7. Shifts/Call: 7:30a-6:30p, 4x10s; no weekends or holidays; will float among clinics; nurses partnered with specific tumor group on specific days; ratios vary based on census and acuity 8. RTO: Screenshot confirming RTO required at submission; less than 7 days RTO with no holiday time off prioritized; RTO requested after offer will NOT be accommodated; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays; schedule changes not permitted once onsite 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff (full time or PRN) must be gone from the RWJBH health system a minimum of 1 year before eligible to return for travel assignments 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits NOT accepted; any international work history or permanent residency MUST be disclosed 12. Modules: Non-billable; 4 hours EPIC training plus up to 18 additional hours; RN average 18 hours non-billable; completed pre-start and annually; recorded by transcripts, self-reporting, and facility reporting 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Business casual; scrubs are acceptable 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Maximum of 3 submissions per candidate per facility. References required. Failing competency exams require a 6-month break before resubmission. MSP contracted travelers require 14-day cancellation notice; Crisis/Rapid contracted travelers require 10-day notice. Missed shifts must be made up within the same pay period.
