- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years required for submission (VMS job requirements note 2.5 years; the position notes state 3 years minimum — flag for AM clarification) 2. Cases: General OR and Trauma experience required. Required case experience includes: Bariatric (laparoscopic assisted cases); General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple); Neurology (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion); Orthopedic (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, closed/open reduction of fractures); Plastic Surgery (free flap - microvascular); Transplant (organ donation); Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy); Trauma (amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA multiple injuries). All service lines except CV. 3. Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred. Must be AHA or American Red Cross (standard compliance). 4. License: Active IL license required — must be in hand or in application process at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred. 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, 0645-1715. On-call required approximately 1 per week. 1 weekend shift per month required. No block scheduling. 23 rooms. Will float within skill set (rarely). 8. RTO: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager. 9. Returning Staff: Not specified. 10.
