- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years required; first-timers not accepted 2. Cases: General OR and Trauma experience required; all service lines except CV. Required cases include Bariatric (laparoscopic assisted), General Surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Whipple), Neurology (Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion), Orthopedic (Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed/Open reduction of fractures), Plastic Surgery (Free Flap - Microvascular), Transplant (Organ donation), Urology (Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy), and Trauma (Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA) 3. Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred; must be in hand at submission 4. License: Active IL license required; must be in hand or in active application process to apply 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner preferred 7. Shifts/Call: ALT shift 1045-2115/1245-2315; on-call required 1 per week (though less frequent now); 1 weekend shift per month; no block scheduling; guaranteed hours with client call-off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment 8. RTO: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; must live at least 50 miles from facility 11.
