- Unit Notes:OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels # Suites 5 ORs and a cystoscopy room Average # of cases per day 6 -7 cases Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS Common Cases "General (hernias, biopsies, thyroids) Ortho (total knees and hips), arthroscopies (shoulders and knees), CTRs, nerve decompression Podiatry, OB/GYN, including cesarean sections Urology, Dental" Experience or 'Must have' skills 1+ years of experience preferred Scrubbing required - RNs No Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge Nurse M-F 0700-1530, Admin Supervisor 24/7. Charge Nurse does not take an assignment. OR techs? Yes EMR Epic Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Self-Scheduling utilizing API Weeknight/Call Requirements 1 weeknight of call per week. Call begins when cases end for the day and goes until 0700 the next day. Weekend/Call Requirements 1 weekend of call per month. Call begins when cases end for the day on Friday and goes until 0700 on Monday. Holiday/Call Requirements May be needed. What is call response time? 20 minutes. Floating Requirements Ability to float to PACU or GI would be ideal, but is not required. Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs are provided. Unit/Department specific orientation Orientation with preceptor and department educator.
