- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 4 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel; unit does not accept first-time travelers 2. Cases: Neurology, Transplant (solid organ), General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics are HARD STOPs; additional service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Ophthalmology; specific skills include Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Total joint replacement, Cholecystectomy, Organ donation, Whipple, Lumbar fusion, ALIF, XLIF, and others listed in skills section 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: GA RN license or Compact license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekends variable (discussed during interview); call variable (discussed during interview); patient ratio 1:1 days, nights, and weekends; floating within facility/scope of practice and to Outpatient as needed; orientation is 36 hours 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per contract; ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests post-offer or onsite; NO holiday RTO approved during blackout dates 11/23-11/29 and 12/21-1/3; if 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, 1 holiday RTO may be considered 9. Returning Staff: Perm/Per Diem/FCSS must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler; if canceled or facility DNR, traveler must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying and ensure profile reflects all time worked at Piedmont 10.
