Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Oncology

Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, weekdays, every other weekend

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active WV or Compact RN License, pending license accepted for submission
• 1 year experience
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience not required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Preferred: Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN, ONS/ONCC

Other Details:

• Skills required: IV start
• 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with med/surg overflow
• Chemotherapy administration
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6
• Patient population: Adults, Geriatrics
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrubs not provided; burgundy and/or white
• Blocked schedule
• Pre-approved time off: 2 requests; RTO must be included at time of submittal
• Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract
• Required modules must be completed prior to start date (average completion time: 8 hours)
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current health system employees (perm, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Candidates must have a permanent address >100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
