- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; Level 4 NICU experience required; first-timers accepted with 3+ years of experience 2. Cases: Critically ill, convalescing, and growing premature and term newborns; surgical patients; tracheostomy patients; admissions from high-risk perinatal department and transports; travelers not required to go to deliveries 3. Certifications: BLS and NRP required; PALS and STABLE preferred; must have skills in Bubble CPAP, Tracheostomy care/management, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), PA Lines (preferred) 4. License: Pending license accepted; application must be submitted and received by licensing board to qualify 5. Education: BSN required 6. EMR: Epic; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights; weekend requirement yes; floating within hospital yes (with PALS may float to peds floors; without PALS may float as a sitter); floating to sister hospitals no; call is voluntary only; block scheduling not open unless posting states otherwise 8.
