- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years required for submission 2. Cases: NICU Level III; neurologic care for neonatal abstinence syndrome; care for neonates 29-34 weeks and >34 weeks; vents/intubated patients; central line experience preferred; cardiovascular monitoring with telemetry; HFNC; respiratory distress; hyperbilirubinemia/phototherapy; breastfeeding support; enteral feedings; colostomy/ileostomy care; neonatal sepsis; developmental care 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS required; all certifications required at time of submission unless otherwise specified; must indicate if cert will be acquired prior to start 4. License: Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; Crib Notes also referenced; 4 hours of non-billable Epic training pre-start 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun); must work 2 of 3 holidays (unless otherwise specified); facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; contract is expected to be traveler's primary work schedule 8. RTO: Screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests required at submission; requests with less than 7 days RTO and no holiday time off prioritized; no RTO approved after offer; block/special scheduling must be approved at time of booking 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must be gone from the RWJBH health system a minimum of 1 year before eligible to return for travel assignments 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate; maximum of 3 submissions per candidate per facility 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits NOT accepted; any international work history or permanent residency must be disclosed 12. Modules: Non-billable; 4 hours Epic training plus up to 18 additional hours; RN average 18 hours non-billable; completed pre-start and annually; recorded by transcripts, self-reporting, and facility reporting; failing competency exams requires a 6-month break before re-submission 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy Blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. References required. Travelers will not be assigned Level IV patients, ECMO, or fresh post-ops.
