- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; must have delivery attendance experience; experienced level III NICU nurse required 2. Cases: Attend deliveries (vaginal and c-section), assist with newborn transition, NICU admissions/discharges, NOU admissions/discharges 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; must be AHA certified 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License required at submission; cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Self-scheduling; every other weekend required; 12 weekend shifts per contract 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent staff must leave health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: No first time travelers accepted; previous travel experience required 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at submission with personal statement 12. Modules: 5-8 hours for RN, non-billable, completed pre-start, vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Required; no first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Grape/Purple provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Cardiac/respiratory monitors, ventilators, HFNC, CPAP, radiant warmers, isolettes, phototherapy equipment Critical: Must float to NOU with 1:4-6 ratios. Holiday requirement: at least 1 major and 1 minor. Patient ratios NICU 1:1-3, NOU 1:4-6. Hard deadline Wednesday prior to Monday start. Two recent manager references required.
