- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required for submission 2. Cases: General medicine with focus on neuro; CVA, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard); NIH certification preferred 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; also uses Pyxis and SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 36 or 48 hours accepted; 13-26 week contracts accepted; 1:6 ratio; 5-6 weekend shifts per contract (every other weekend); float required, travelers float first; must be available for Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events 8. RTO: 7 days max for AYA Auto Offer; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at a different rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 24-hour orientation; must pass EKG testing prior to start 13.
