- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg experience required 2. Cases: General MedSurg; Bariatric specialty unit for gastric bypass surgeries and sleeve gastrectomy 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NIHSS required 4. License: Valid nursing license required; will not hire without license; if pending must have proof process is underway 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Soarian 7. Shifts/Call: EOW; Float to other med surge units; Weekend coverage required; 6:1 patient ratios 8. RTO: Minimal to no RTO (must be included on submission); must be minimal especially around holidays 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius verification required; local rate applies for 31-50 miles from facility; travelers under 30 miles not accepted; local rate reduced by $5/hr 11.
