Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required 2. Cases: Orthopedic elective surgeries (total joint replacements - hips, knees, shoulders), spine surgeries, trauma patients requiring orthopedic surgical interventions, osteomyelitis and other infections involving skin and bone requiring long-term IV antibiotics 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Stable required; copies not specified 4. License: Active IL license required; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights (1845-0715); every other weekend required; float to other Med Surg departments as needed; no on-call required 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; no radius requirement 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Slings, walkers, canes, traction, casts, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, hospital beds, PAS boot machines, vital sign monitors, vein finder Critical: First-timers accepted. PICC Line Management and Starting IVs required. Telemetry experience preferred. Guaranteed hours policy in effect - client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; excess cancellations are billable. Parking permit required at no cost; form completed during orientation. Level I Trauma Center, Magnet facility with 562 total staffed beds.
