- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital. First-time travelers not accepted (exception considered with 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center). VMS notes also reference 1 year minimum and Travel Experience Required: Yes. 2. Cases: MS/Tele; experience with drip management required on all floors. Required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA). May encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, and Lasix. Trauma Level I experience required. 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred. Must be AHA or American Red Cross (standard expectation). Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, cardiac telemetry, and management of cardiac drips (no titration). 4. License: Nebraska RN State License required; pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required. 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour options. Float required every shift within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away). Patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights. Weekend coverage: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night. Orientation hours: 24. All contracts end on Sunday; work week is Monday-Sunday. 8. RTO: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. Must be submitted with application. No RTO during first week of orientation. Additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion. 9. Returning Staff: Not explicitly stated. 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility. 11. Background: Do not submit for Radiology or Respiratory with license hits. 12. Special Equipment: Drips required on all floors. Required: Nitro, Heparin, Insulin (non-DKA). May encounter: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix. Screen and call out if candidate has no drip experience. Critical: Holiday coverage required - travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving (11/24-11/26), Christmas (12/24-12/26), and New Year's (12/31-1/2).
