- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: Acute medical conditions; med/surg unit with telemetry; adult patients 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; BLS and ACLS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies must be included in submittal packet and listed on application at time of submittal 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 or 3x12 nights, 19:00-07:30, weekdays and weekends; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; patient ratios 1:5-7 (days, nights, and weekends noted at 1:6); orientation is 12 hours, held every other Monday; facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees (permanent, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system (includes CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles or more from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on a license will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable; average completion time 8 hours; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15.
