- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; Med/Surg and short stay experience required; Telemetry preferred; first-time travelers considered dependent on experience 2. Cases: Med/Surg, short stay, telemetry preferred; patient diagnoses include respiratory diseases, cardiac disorders, GI disorders, urinary disorders, acute substance withdrawal, chest pain, syncope, seizure, electrolyte imbalances, endocrine disorders 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be AHA; Nursys required 4. License: Texas RN License (implied by location); Nursys required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Days 1:5, Nights 1:6, Weekends 1:5; float required to 2W, CDU, and ARU; 12 weekend shifts per contract; no call required 8.
